Day two - The meaning behind your blog name

I am a fan of U2. Their newest album is called No Line on the Horizon. I guess I thought it was clever to name by blog New Line on the Horizon because I created/named it when I was getting ready to move back to Idaho and leaving behind all things familiar. I was excited/sad/nervous/ready and so far it has worked out just fine.

The end.

Thankful for Thanksgiving Break

It is never too late.....to try blogging again. Here is my attempt.

I am going to copy Betsey and her swimmy friend and their recipe for a more exciting blog. It can't take much to liven up this lonesome blog, considering that I haven't posted since last December. And even then, it was only the second post this blog had ever known.

A recent picture of you and 15 interesting facts about yourself:

1. Ironically, a week or so ago, I made a goal in my mind to take a picture every day for the rest of this year. I placed my camera in my purse for convenience in doing so. I haven't taken one. This morning I took out the camera and put it back in the drawer. This blog post called for a recent picture of me and this is the most recent one I had uploaded onto my computer. It is from June 27th.

2. I just got home from a 12 hour shift in the ER in Pocatello. I should be sleeping, but I don't feel tired. I would by lying if I said I did not have doubts about wanting to be a nurse.

3. I love children, especially babies. Love them.

4. I don't believe people when they go on and on about loving the rain.

5. I think I'm way more funny than I really am.

6. I c a n n o t wait to graduate and have my life back.

7. I have a wonderful, beautiful life and feel blessed for it.

8. Right now my favorite things to eat are yogurt, swiss cheese, grapefruit.

9. I love wood burning fireplaces. I love being warm. There is really no good way to describe how much I mean this so I will just leave it at that.

10. I sing a lot. I can't stop. Everything comes out as a song.....but, I just make them up as I go. I rarely know real song lyrics. I should work on that. First I am going to learn to play the mandolin.

11. I have a very very very familiar face to people. Today, a woman I know through work called me to ask if I was at a temple sealing a few weeks ago. When I told her I was not, she didn't believe me. When she finally did believe me, she insisted that I must have a twin. I get this several times a week.

12. For some reason, when I see a small place go out of business, I almost (or do) start crying.

13. I love sushi.

14. I'm a clean freak. I'm getting better about it though. I make myself make messes once in a while. They don't last long, but I think it helps with the obsessiveness.

15. I'm starting to get sleepy. Perfect timing.

A few things I have picked up on while going to school again (in Idaho, I might add).

1) It is not cool to wear socks and sandals.

2) Also not cool to rat your hair.

3) It is not okay to have an affair with the only male in microbiology. It's actually very low-class.

4) It is not fiscally responsible, nor wise to go back to school to try to become a surgical technician so that you can get a discount on a boob-job. It would probably be cheaper and easier just to get the surgery.

5) It is not cool to cheat.

6) It's not okay to eat smelly, jalapeno flavored snacks during class.

7) Campusbookrentals.com is wonderful.

8) Never take a class from Dr. Mohan at the UofI.

9) Do take a class from Dr. Anderson at EITC.

10) Don't underestimate the time it takes to complete a "simple" Independent Study course.
